Master Kaufman's achievements are numerous, having won championships in point and Olympic-style Tae Kwon Do tournaments at the state, national, and international levels in both forms and sparring from 1980 to the early 1990s. Additionally, he shared his expertise as a hand-to-hand combat instructor while serving as a paratrooper in the U.S. Army during the 1980s.

Under Master Kaufman's guidance, many young students have achieved success in state, national, and international competitions. His teams have earned a reputation for being among the finest and most respected martial artists in their fields.
